For the second time in a week, I went to a grocery store, took my items up to the register, whipped my debit card into the system, flew through all the questions and hit enter. But in my haste, when it asked for how much cash back, I failed to enter the 4-digit $20 number. I only got out 2 and 0 before hitting enter…..and so, I received a whopping 20-cents cash back. Not only am I still walking around broke, I have change jingling in my pocket.
My next store visit, I’m vowing to leave with cash.
Unless, of course, I’m still in a hurry.
