For checking in and occasionally visiting this rambling collection of thoughts, opinions and rants. As I wrote to co-workers a moment ago, I really do love the holiday of Thanksgiving. Mostly, because it’s not about getting more–it’s about appreciating all that we have. One of the biggest realizations you’ll eventually experience in life is that most of those “things” we surround ourselves with or think will make us happy, don’t.
In the advertising and marketing biz, we’ve made careers out of making people want more. But Sheryl Crow summed it up nicely in a song several years ago: “It’s not having what you want, It’s wanting what you’ve got”

When you’ve got a roof over your head, friends that care and family that loves you, you’ve won the lotto of life.
