The Sons of Norway got their hands on a time capsule that had been placed in the old Norway Center, which was recently demolished. It was a metal box, welded shut, which made everyone hope for treasure, diamonds, rubies, stocks, etc.

This is the mystery box that was opened on Sunday

It took Doug Dixon in his hard hat quite a few whacks with the chisel and hammer, but finally, the box was opened…and one by one, the paper artifacts were removed.

Here's what was inside

No stocks, cash, jewels or anything of great value, but some great historical information about the people and the time. In a nutshell: they were all too cheap to donate anything to a future generation.
Proof that the box really did come from Norwegians.
