Great night last night at Qwest Field, where the Seattle Sounders FC made their home debut to a packed stadium. They only have the lower half open, so they can keep the crowd together and intense….and it was. With 22,000 season tickets and last night’s sold-out 32,000, it won’t surprise me if it’s not long until they open up that upper deck. What made it sweeter was that we were sitting in the Comcast suite, right behind a goal…the goal that the Sounders scored 2 of their three goals in! The energy was amazing. Oh and did you know that Drew Carey was part owner? He was there last night to say a few words to the crowd.
It was an awesome, awesome night. Seattle now has another professional sports team and another shade of green to add to their wardrobe.
